Grab ‘N’ Go finalist spotlight: Nerinder Kaur
The overall winner will receive £500, plus a £500 set of Wüsthof professional chef’s knives donated by sponsor SchoolGrid. Nerinder, who will be competing in the final for a second year in a row, will produce a dish called Ninz's Twisted Tikka Noodles.
Nerinder said: “I began my career as a head chef in a nursery, where I developed my skills in creating nutritious, high-quality meals while leading a kitchen team. Working with children taught me the importance of providing food that is both healthy and enjoyable, and it helped shape the chef I am today.
“In 2024, I joined Sodexo as head chef at King Edward VI Aston School. This role has given me the opportunity to further develop my culinary skills, create innovative menus, and make a positive impact on students through nutritious and exciting food offerings.
“I am passionate about developing fresh ideas, creating dishes that inspire healthy eating, and continually learning and growing as a chef. I take great pride in my work and am always looking for ways to improve and challenge myself. My journey so far has been driven by dedication, creativity, and a genuine love for cooking, and I am excited to see where that passion takes me next.”
