Matt Tebbutt & Amber Francis join School Food Live programme

15 May 2026
Matt Tebbutt and Amber Francis will deliver cooking demonstrations to visitors of the School Food Show this summer, which is taking place at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole from 7-8th July.

The winner of the 2026 Grab ‘N’ Go Challenge will step up to the demo kitchen to recreate their winning dish to visitors and delegates on day two, chatting with the hosts and taking questions from the audience.

As the host of Saturday Kitchen for many years and now of Masterchef the Professionals, Matt Tebbutt is one of the most familiar and popular chefs on TV. Supported by the 2026 Grab ‘N’ Go winner he will demo a dish that can be adapted to be used in the school food service whilst sharing stories and anecdotes from his career.

Amber Francis, Great British Menu Champion of Champions and head chef at Christ’s College Finchley, will deliver a cooking demonstration on day one of the event.

For a school chef to be named as the Great British Menu ‘Champion of Champions’ is an indication of the skills across the school food sector and Amber has agreed to come to the event to provide a cooking demo, a chat, and take questions.

Eva Humphries, The Wholefood Warrior, will also demo a school recipe for the Bang in Some Beans campaign. Following her session last year Eva will demo a recipe whilst discussing the nutritional benefits and how it can make food spend go further.

There will also be an additional two demonstrations from partners of The School Food People that are yet to be announced. The School Food Show is free to attend for chefs and caterers from the school meals industry. Register for free here.
