Premier Foods plans to host Education Innovation Day in London

25 Mar 2026
Premier Foods has announced plans to host an Education Innovation Day on Thursday 9th April at the Mission Kitchen within New Covent Garden Market in London.

The Education Innovation Day, which will start at 11am, will offer attendees collaborative insight and innovative sessions including a panel discussion, new product development tasting, live demonstrations and menu inspiration.

The event has the official backing of The School Food People, who will be well represented, and will be led by Premier Foods culinary adviser Louise Wagstaffe, alongside plenty of practical menu inspiration to take away.

Dietician Katie Kennedy will deliver a presentation on what good school nutrition should look like. There will be food demonstrations from the current SCOTY winner Erin Ward and head judge Louise Wagstaffe.

There will also be a panel discussion involving The School Food People chair Brad Pearce and Julian Edwards on key industry issues including the evolving School Food Standards, the impact of local authority catering service closures as well as the importance of upskilling catering teams to support delivery, compliance and creativity in school kitchens.

Places are open to operators and caterers only. Places are limited and are on first come first served basis. If you are interested in attending the event, email: andrewa@dewberryredpoint.co.uk.

A shuttle bus will be arranged for attendees, with collection from Victoria Station in the morning. After the event, the shuttle will return attendees to Victoria, with an additional stop available for those heading to the Public Sector Catering Awards.
