Spencer Kelly named as School Food Show & Forum keynote speaker

19 Jun 2026
Spencer Kelly will deliver a whistlestop tour of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics as part of his keynote speech on day two of the School Food People Show & Forum.

Kelly has been hosting conferences, chairing panels, and presenting keynotes on tech around the world for almost 20 years.

He has interviewed some of the biggest names in the business, including Bill Gates, Steve Wozniak, director James Cameron, Vint Cerf, Tim Berners-Lee, music legends Paul McCartney, Will.I.Am and Brian Eno, security threats Edward Snowden and Julian Assange, national treasures David Attenborough and Stephen Fry, and even talked tech with HM The Queen.

His life-long love affair with technology has allowed him to write, direct and present hundreds of short films, and seen him win Tech Personality of the Year, lose Celebrity Mastermind (by a whisker), be awarded an honorary doctorate of Technology, front Panorama and present at the BAFTAs.

The School Food People believes it has never been more important to establish common ground and a collective voice on the importance of school food and the growing pressures operators are facing to provide this vital service. Other speakers on day two include:

  • Dr Sara Long, research fellow at Cardiff University
  • DfE Update
  • Jayne Jones, chief executive of the Scottish Food Commission
  • Judith Gregory, education catering business manager at Cardiff Council
  • Colm Bradley, marketing & brand manager at EANI
  • Stephanie Slater, founder of School Food Matters
  • Chris Sanders, sales & marketing director at Radnor Hills
  • Sharon Hodgson MP
